water filtration system
We supported a rural community learning center & soup kitchen with access to clean drinking water via a 3-step water filtration system. The center supports about 150 children with free weekend education and meals. Per the learning center, the children’s water consumption has significantly increased as result of the filtration system.
We agreed to this kind of system because the center will happily pay the quarterly maintenance fee, for upkeep, of about $20. Additionally, we gave them a gasoline powered water pump to replace their broken one. The center was having to borrow a neighbors pump for months to fill their water storage tanks.
The total project cost was $650 and took about 4 days to complete this project.
