Ceramic Filter Project
Pom O Elementary School is a rural school with 12 classrooms and 432 students. When asked how we could help them, they instantly said with access to potable water. They’re currently having to boil all of their drinking water.
To improve the students lives, we gave each classroom a specialized large ceramic water filter and 10 cup setup. With the help of the teachers, the filters will be filled each afternoon to ensure there’s clean drinking water for the students all day long. Per the manufacturer of the filters, if they’re well maintained (washed regularly), they’re supposed to last for 3 years.
The total project cost was $591 and took 3 days to complete.
